You cannot draw a vector representing the x- or y-component of another vector. However, when you draw a vector and a coordinate axis, the x- and y-components of that vector will automatically be defined in the variables display window to the right of the variable name. The x-component of a variable, V, will be named V_x; the y-component of a variable, V, will be named V_y. You can use these variable names when writing equations.
